Temple Beth Elohim
Special Funds
he basic operating expenses of Temple
Beth Elohim - salaries, routine building
Garden Fund
maintenance, the Religious School,
etc
. - are
met through membership dues and fees paid
by each of our temple families.
Dues and fees, however, do not fully
finance many other activities and projects that
are not only desirable but also vital to ensure
that our synagogue continues to meet the
needs of our members and their families.
These activities and projects are supported
through contributions to a group of Special
Funds.
Voluntary contributions to the funds, by
those who have the means to donate, help to
support the worthy projects of the Special
Funds and avoid burdening those members
whose means are limited with increased dues.
There is no question that giving is an
important element of our Jewish tradition and
heritage. It is the custom for congregants to
memorialize occasions of sorrow and joy
through voluntary gifts to appropriate Special
Funds.
This brochure lists and describes each of
these Special Funds in order to help you
direct your gift to a fund that is meaningful to
you.
The minimum contribution to any fund is
$10.00 ($36.00 to the Prayer Book and Bible
Fund) and the amount of your individual
contribution shall remain confidential.
