Her background is extensive in her work with children. Teaching and youth work is her passion. A daughter of a Reform Rabbi, who serves in a local Long Island congregation, and a mother who was a Reform Jewish Educator, Mrs. Meyer believes in a direct hands on learning process that is based on creativity and patience. "As a mother of 6 young children, I have learned
the key to success in a child's learning is patience and understanding. A
child's studies becomes important to him/her if he/she believes it is important
to you, the parent. I believe that a child's success is a joint effort between
home and school. As Director of Education at Temple Beth Elohim, it is my hope
that my commitment to our students, and my approach in providing our students
with an educational journey based on creative learning, will build a successful
school and a growing participation in the Jewish community." Mrs.
Meyer joined our congregation in 2003. |
